A.N.C.S.S.R., Campulung City Hall, Cultural House of
Trade Unions “C.D. Aricescu” (CCS) and the Cultural House “Tudor Musatescu”
organizes between 29th of May – 1st of June 2019 the – 7th
Edition of the International Festival of Music for Children and Youth, “STARS OF SONG” Romania.
Festival aims:

Discovering
the interpretative talents, musical values of children,
·
Promoting
and stimulating creativity, spirit of competition,
·
Promoting music in
contestants’ native language,
·
Through the cultural
and artistic exchanges which will be made, we wish for strong friendships
between children participating,
·
Making an experience exchange on how to
interpret music and choreographic techniques between tutors.
THE STRUCTURE
OF TEH CONTEST:
INDUVIDUAL PERFORMANCE:
Age categories:
·
Ist category of age 6 - 9 years – will
perform a song from the international repertoire or in the native language, at
the choice of the contestant
·
IInd category of age 10 - 12 years - will perform a song from the
international repertoire or in the native language, at the choice of the
contestant
·
IIIrd category of age 13 - 15 years - will perform a song from the
international repertoire and one in the native language
·
IVth category of age 16 - 24 years - will perform a song from the
international repertoire and one in the native language.
In each age
category will be aditted 8 contestants.
Prizes:
For each age category there will be awarded trophy for
the age category, prizes (Ist,
IInd, IIIrd)
and diplomas.

Special awards may be granted depending on the options
of: media, television, radio stations and organizations, supported by sponsors.
Festival Jury: will be made up of musicians, prestigious composers
from Romania and abroad.
The
maximum and minimum grade will not be taken into consideration, the final grade
being the average of the rest of them.
All
jury decisions are final and irrevocable.
The
pre-selection phase:
Pre-selection will be
done by a specialized jury through analyzing the interpreted songs and recorded
as audio, and by checking the material submitted by competitors
Ø There is no pre-selection fee!
The pre-selection will take place between 1st
April – 15th May 2019.
Mandatory materials necessary for
pre-selection are:

For Ist and IInd category of
age, the song with which he will enter the competition, recorded,
positive and negative.

The musical support
will be in audio format(exclusively), the interpret voice must not be corrected
in the studio;

For IIIrd and IVth category of age, a song from the
international repertoire and one in the native language, recorded, positive and
negative.

Pre-selection sheet fully
completed – Appendix;
·
Photocopy
of birth certificate or ID – fi applicable;
·
Color
photograph – bust (the photograph must be in electronic format, very clear and
recent, JPEG format).
Participation fee will be paid at the pay office at CCS, during the technical meeting.
The participation fee is 70 Euro.
The deadline for receiving the pre-selection materials is 15th
of May 2019 postmark, in electronic format, by e-mail at: casadeculturacampulung@gmail.com
NOTE: The
materials are non-refundable!!!
Pre-selection
results will be displayed on the festival page at: http://starsofsongromania.blogspot.ro, and on the
facebook page by 24th of May 2019.
v Organizers
ensure accomodation and meals for all contestants.
For each
attendant there will be a fee of 100 euro, regardeless of age category.

Admitted
competitors must have the written consent of the composer and lyricist
regarding the assignment of copyright for broadcasting during and after the
Festival.
·
Qualified
competitor for the final phase without the written consent of the composer (for
various reasons) and who wants to participate, will mandatory have on a sworn statement which indicates that parents
are obliged to pay any moral or material prejudice required by the composer as
to the interpretation of the song in a contest without his consent - under the
laws of copyright.

Recomandări:
-
the songs should be
appropriate to the age of the contestant, should express concerns and
aspiration of children;
-
evolution
should be pleasant, containing original elements and to instigate the public;
-
intonation,
quality, voice suitability, diction and vocal emission should be very good;
-
age
specific interpretative style of expressive melody and text content;
-
there
are not allowed songs of other genres such as: ethno, jazz, classical,
classical, symphonic, etc.;
-
outfit
should be appropriate to the age of the contestant and to the song.
The negative track support may contain Backing Vocal,
but it should be realized on a different melodic line than the one interpreted
by the contestant (especially in choruses).

Any
changes of the Regulations imposed by circumstances beyond the organizer will
be communicated on http://starsofsongromania.blogspot.ro, and on the Facebook
page of the festival.
